After the winter concerts are done, a favourite tradition is to have the members of the marching band line the walls on either side of the auditorium and give the show music one final performance. Think about this for a second...the marching band is usually rocking in the neighbourhood of 100 kids. They're all indoors under one roof and their instruments are pointed right at you. It's not just loud. It is *WAY LOUDER THAN…
Eagle-eyed (!) observers will notice that the mural was in progress earlier in the marching season. It's done now and it's amazing and gorgeous...what a beautiful addition to The Nest! :)
Even though it's a footy game...the half-time show must go on! :)
Cary Band Day may be the end of the season but the marching isn't done. Now the band pivots immediately into the parade season with the Veterans Day Parade coming up awfully quickly! :)
Last competition of the season...it seemed to go by so fast!
Nicholas just loved his bit of fancy dress... ;)
Enloe is off to another double-performance day at Sanderson in the Capital Cup. After two of their best performances ever, they came within .74 points of winning the entire competition which is the best result in school history in a competition that isn't ordinarily kind to them! Fair play to Smithfield-Selma who won the overall award...their show was truly awesome.
