Katie and Alex seemed none the worse for wear after school but do not let appearances deceive you.
A week on holiday at Ocean Isle Beach coupled with a quick trip back to Raleigh last night and an early morning to get to school meant there was only one thing that was going to happen when they got back to the house: both of them completely conked out!
All-in-all, they seem to like their new teachers though Katie’s theory is that might change after trying to make the best first day impression. I don’t think it’ll take that long…the first assignment of homework or examination to be sat will probably do the job! 🙂
Mistletoe is at least happy with the world now that her pets have come back to play with her and occasionally scratch her belly.
She found the empty house to be as weird as I did! If this is what “empty nest syndrome” feels like, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be a fan!
