Alex got a special treat from Coach Blinn at his summer school today...a beautiful new Enloe Eagles hat of his very own! And you can see that hat's competition and why I'm seriously jealous...the "Enloe Band" hat in particular has been in use for the entire four years of Nicholas' marching band! Alex just raised the stakes and I'm going to have to up my game! :)
Alex was once again in his element as the former Mayor of Washington Elementary School for at least one night and encountered a big fan of his from the past...Miss Allie Swartz! Miss Allie will soon be off to Austin TX to pursue her dreams of dancing ballet professionally but we all remember when she wowed the audience as Alice! :)

It seems mind-boggling that sixteen years ago today, we were welcoming a new boy into our family. We didn't have the faintest clue what kind of roller-coaster ride we were boarding that day and the many years of medical frequent flying and excitement to come. Time to do some maths homework with the pawns from the chess set to help him keep the numbers straight! He's certainly done well with the virtual learning environment...always on time on his Chromebook to log in and participate! :)
Sadly, it wouldn't last very long as this was right before the world went in the bin thanks to COVID-19 and the various restrictions have not allowed them to resume the therapeutic horseback riding. :(
