Rolesville comes rolling into The Nest for an afternoon tilt with Katie’s Enloe Eagles lacrosse team!
She started her second game in a row on defence and it was clear from the get-go that these two teams were very evenly matched in terms of speed and skill leading to a very exciting fixture.
Rolesville would jump out to an early 3-nil lead but once the defence had gotten rid of the jitters, the Eagles were able to go into half-time level on score at 3-3.
The second half would see the Eagles take their first lead and then extend it before conceding a late goal to Rolesville.
But the final push from Rolesville fell short and the Eagles ran the last minute off the clock to preserve their first victory of the year 5-4.
And a happier group of girls who descended upon midfield with hugs, high fives, and general exuberance you’d be hard-pressed to find.
Their trip through the handshake line was a much more pleasant one this time round! 🙂
