I’m sure it will come as such a surprise that Mistletoe loves riding in the Traverse.
It should also be no shock that she’s quite aware of the usual flight plans of the Traverse and knows when we’re going in a direction she’s not quite expecting.
So when I tell you she started getting quite vocal as I was pulling onto the Aversboro Rd on the way to the groomer’s, I’d imagine that’s not much of a surprise either.
It was clear she recognised the building and knew exactly where she was. She was sitting so pretty in the co-pilot’s chair and was calm enough when she jumped out and started ‘niffering round the adjacent bay in the car park.
That is until she saw who had snuck up behind me and was taking her leash.
The amount of resistance that puppy can put into making sure those four paws aren’t moving the rest of her willingly is shockingly impressive.
As was her final look in my direction that seemed to indicate she’d sooner warm up to cuddling with Judas Iscariot than with me anytime soon.
Fortunately for me, she does have a remarkably short memory when it’s time to get her next belly rub… 🙂
