She took one look out the window at Katie and Alex heading up the sidewalk into school and performed the most epic and pathetic flop onto the front seat.

All the way back home, she couldn’t decide if she wanted to look out and enjoy the breeze through the passenger window or flop down and rock the pathos. She must have alternated between them at least four or five times!

When we finally got to the house, she didn’t take long to claim her spot right in front of the recliner staring out that small window next to the front door as if they’d magically reappear.

Two hours later as Nicholas is making his way out for a new day of automotive fun at Wake Tech, she was still there watching the door. I’m sure it will come as a huge surprise that right after he went out that door, she resumed her position until we were interrupted by Ladder 12 and EMS responding to a call for service for one of the neighbours here in the cul-de-sac (they didn’t leave with their foot to the floor and lights/sirens and the patient looked alert so hopefully they’ll be mended straightaway!).
