Daddy and Alexander popped out this evening to go to the grocery store for some essential provisions. These outings are a good opportunity to get Alexander to do some walking with his walker.

We have a tradition at the store where we will make at least two stops in addition to whatever else we might be looking for. The first is a raid of the bakery for kiddie cookies and that is never to be missed.

The other one is to visit the lobster tank which usually has a few nice-sized residents. Nicholas particularly loves looking at the lobsters but Alexander is a bit more reserved. He got the surprise of his short life when the lady working the seafood counter grabbed one of the larger specimens and brought it out for him to get a closer look.

Alexander wasn’t too keen on touching it even though the claws were bound with thick rubber bands. He was perfectly fine to watch it from a distance of two feet and it was obvious that he was fascinated with the lobster’s movements.

Next time, we’ll have to get them to bring one out for Nicholas. He’ll freak for sure! 🙂
