Going through the backlog of stories, I had almost forgotten about this little gem from one of the earliest days where I was helping with scorekeeping and running the music for Nicholas’ beer league hockey.
Whilst we were waiting for his game to start, Miss Kristina had brought in a package of heated pads whose official application was to relieve period and pelvic pain.
Before Nicholas turned up, I had asked Miss Kristina why these items were sitting there and she let me know that apparently they’re aces at warming your feet when they’re in ice skates.
Ah. Would never have guessed that…
Apparently Nicholas was also unaware of this as he’s holding the package and giving it a look that made it very clear that he had no idea why this package was at an ice rink.
So of course we really couldn’t resist sending him up a bit later on when that particular package occupied a very prominent location on the scoreboard controller and he couldn’t help but notice that they were there just taunting him. 🙂
