The show for this season is “The Caged Bird Sings” so we’re building ten of these huge student-designed bird cages that will be wheeled out on the field for the colour guard to flit in and out of during the routine.
They’re designed to broken down and rebuilt and fortunately one of the band Dads had access to a C&C machine in the workshop where he worked which made cutting the plywood a breeze.
These were definitely a step up in props from the sand-coloured “clouds” that were intended to be desert dunes for last year’s show “Scheherazade”!
