The Capital Cup hosted by Sanderson High School is a particularly brutal competition day. It starts out with a rehearsal at Enloe and then it’s off to Sanderson for the only two-phase competition in the city…the preliminary round which will select the eight bands that compete in the finals.

Then it’s time to pack up and return to the school to unload the equipment and the kids who are usually dead-dog tired by this point having started their morning at 0800 and ending it past midnight the following morning.
