Katie had a busy weekend including Enloe’s homecoming game on Friday evening and we made a quick run back to Campbell so she could attend the opening home game for the “Nobodies from Nowhere”.

We did get there with some time to spare so we were in the student union checking out the team store (and scored a couple of hats at half-off!) and then it was on like Donkey Kong at the air hockey table.

Little Miss put up quite the challenge and managed to win a few games along the way which is something that no one at Ft Leavenworth’s Youth Recreation Centre was ever able to pull off when I’d spend afternoons there taking over the air hockey table and then defending it against all challengers until it was time to wander back down the one hill in the entire state of Kansas to our flat!

However, I did prove once again that I was eminently qualified for the UCF basketball team by showing conclusively how few shots I could make on the timed shooting game. Even though the thing wasn’t scoring properly, it was very clear who was decimated and who wasn’t.

That’s OK…a couple more games at the air hockey table put my bruised ego right and then we headed off to the on-campus Chick-Fil-A for some lemonade before it was time for us to part ways. 🙂
