Katie played her second game in as many days with Enloe taking on Sanderson at the Cardinal Gibbons neutral site just across from PNC Arena. I was worried that we might have a repeat of the fiasco that was our first visit when a Hurricanes game was going on at the same time and the traffic nightmare that ensued but fortunately that game against Winnipeg is tomorrow night!
The Enloe girls joke that they’re a second half team and once again they did prove the point but they would at least end up winning the second half 7-6 after the damage had already been done.
Two more games until the end of the season but you can already see the dramatic improvement, particularly on defence.
Hopefully they’ll be able to recruit enough new girls to replace the nine seniors who are graduating so that Enloe can field a full side consistently. Come what may, these girls have worked their keesters off for their school and for each other!
