During this training session, Katie was a face-off machine that Rod Brind’Amour would have been totally proud of with her taking advantage of her low centre of gravity to crouch down and swipe the puck out the scrum before her opponent knew what happened.
But she had her moment to shine toward the end of the session where she was finally rewarded for hanging round the slot with a one-on-one with Coach Sue in net that she buried and came close with a second empty-netter that went just wide right.
